The AI Institute at UGA is hosting AI Research Day 2024 on April 22nd from 2-7 PM in the Tate Reception Hall. Themed “AI Transforming,” this event aims to showcase AI-related research across UGA and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. The day will feature a keynote address by Professor Mark Riedl from GATech, a poster session, lightning presentations, and a discussion panel, with light refreshments provided. Students and faculty are encouraged to submit research posters, and attendees will have the opportunity to network and learn about AI advancements at UGA. Poster submissions are due by April 7th

Call to AI Faculty Fellows:
- Encourage students to submit research posters (new or previously presented work).
- Posters can be from students in your unit or those mentored by you (not limited to PhDAI, MSAI, or Cognitive Science students).
- Forward the announcement to interested parties.
Call to Students:
- Encouraged to submit posters (PhDAI, MSAI, Cognitive Science, Double Dawgs, and those working with AI Faculty Fellows).
- Posters will be displayed in the reception hall, with presenters answering questions.
- Best poster award based on a vote.
- Attendance encouraged even without submission for networking and learning.

- Deadline: April 7th, 11:59 PM
- Format: PowerPoint or PDF
- Submission Email: aiuga@uga.edu
- Subject Heading: “AI Research Day 2024 Poster” and your last name
- File Naming: aird2024_poster_lastname_firstname.pptx (or .pdf)
- Abstract: Include a plain text copy in the email body
- Printing: Submitters responsible for printing; graduate school offers free printing via gradstatus.uga.edu
- Poster Size: Recommended 36” x 24”
- Additional: Prepare a paragraph abstract for announcements
