The Georgia Genomics and Bioinformatics Core (GGBC) is excited to announce the addition of two new sequencing platforms: the Illumina MiSeq i100 Plus and the Oxford Nanopore PromethION 2 Solo.
The MiSeq i100 Plus provides a modern solution for short-read applications including amplicon sequencing, microbial genomics, targeted sequencing, and small genome projects.
The PromethION 2 Solo significantly expands GGBC’s long-read sequencing capacity, supporting applications such as genome assembly, structural variation analysis, transcriptomics, metagenomics, epigenetics, and direct RNA sequencing.
These new platforms strengthen GGBC’s commitment to providing UGA researchers with access to advanced sequencing technologies, expert consultation, and cost-effective, time efficient genomics solutions.
