A new interdisciplinary seed grant from UGA’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence will support the AI-Pathology Working Group’s efforts to build multimodal foundations for AI-enabled pathology at UGA. The project, Building multimodal foundations for AI-pathology at UGA, brings together expertise from the College of Pharmacy, School of Computing, and College of Veterinary Medicine to connect digital pathology, artificial intelligence, and biomedical data science.
The award advances the Precision One Health mission by strengthening infrastructure for cross-species and clinically relevant pathology workflows. By linking image analysis, computational modeling, and veterinary and human disease expertise, the working group will help expand the Systems Modeling and Data Analytics Core’s capacity to support translational research across UGA.
