A College of Pharmacy seed grant will support “Patient-Specific SAR Studies: A New Paradigm in Medicinal Chemistry,” a project focused on developing more individualized approaches to drug discovery. The award provides $25,000 from the Dean’s Pharmacy Special Endowment Fund to advance work that connects medicinal chemistry, therapeutic testing, and patient-specific biological data.
The project aligns closely with the Drug Discovery and AI Working Group within the Systems Modeling and Data Analytics Core. By linking chemical structure, drug response, and computational analysis, the effort supports the Precision One Health goal of using data-driven approaches to guide more precise therapeutic strategies across human and veterinary medicine.
